Architects of AOE Studio have built an unusual hotel in the picturesque tourist city of Guilin. Its rooms are located in tree houses.

Chinese studio AOE has completed the construction of the Guilin Lebei Homestay. It is located in the city of Guilin, next to a river and a lush forest. Therefore, the architects decided to focus on unity with nature and built rooms whose windows are on the same level with the crowns of trees.

Similar structures were erected in ancient times, however, their purpose was completely different: from the hill it was possible to see the enemy and warn the settlement. Now the concept has changed: a wide view allows you to immerse yourself in nature and travel through the thickets with your eyes.

Almost all rooms are located at a height of 5 m, but differ in shape and area — from 27 to 45 m2. In some houses, the main space is located on the ground floor, while the second is given over to games and children’s lives. Other rooms even have an outdoor slide connecting the two levels. Moreover, it can be used not only by children, but also by adults.

All the houses are connected by a winding pedestrian path, which is interrupted by slides, swings and other play facilities leading to the first level to a huge outdoor playground for children.
