An exhibition center has appeared in the Chinese city of Sanya, which demonstrates technological achievements in the field of agriculture.

The Chinese government invests a lot in research related to environmental change and the shortage of land and water for food production. And also observes that more and more people want to return to nature and engage in agriculture.

That is why in the city of Sanya, the architectural bureau CLOU architects has built a center that accommodates a multifunctional research complex and an exhibition space. Its purpose is to present advanced agricultural technologies to the public and to show the openness of this sphere. The translucent facade of Sanya Farm Lab demonstrates the contents of the building to passersby.

The main idea of the architects was to erase the boundaries between the inner and outer world, as well as encourage visitors to interact with each other and share experiences.

The structure consists of many zones for the comfort of visitors: the console on the second level forms a shaded space on the ground floor, where people can hide from the rain or sun and chat. On the second floor there is a place for outdoor dining, as well as a children’s playground on the third.
