Its design is in harmony with the facade of the building, built in 2020, and fits into the surrounding landscape. Olympic and Paralympic Museum in the USA by Diller Scofidio + Renfro project Union Bridge Park is equipped with 7.6 m high partitions, in which a large window is cut, opening a view of the landscape. These fences also form two steel arches, which are intertwined in the center. At night, the bridge lights up, illuminating the passage, and the slots in it turn the structure into a kind of lighthouse. Both pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use it. It is equipped with an elevator and a ramp and is as convenient as possible for people traveling in a wheelchair. The design was developed and manufactured in Houston, Texas. Then the parts of the 550-ton bridge were delivered to Colorado Springs in one weekend, and assembled and fixed in place in just eight hours. The whole process has been carefully planned to minimize the time required to close the area. Photo: Jason O Rear Original content from the site
