The land art project “White Forest” opened in Malevich Park Architecture 10.02.2022 Today, on February 1, a land art project was opened in the new Malevich Park in Odintsovo, in which Grigory Orekhov, Alexey Luka and the art group “Artistic Solitude” presented their works. Photo: Nikita Subbotin Grigory Orekhov’s installation is a red carpet temporarily laid along the linden alley. It is made of polypropylene and extends 250 meters deep into the forest. Perspective becomes the expressive means of the artist, and the closing trees become the frame of the “picture”. The fact that the art object is located in Malevich Park gives it additional meaning and embodies the artist’s departure into geometric abstraction. Walking through it in the park, visitors will be able to experience the same feelings, but in the end they will still be fascinated by the landscape. With this effect, the artist wants to emphasize that the desire for fame and power is insignificant compared to the greatness of nature. To do this, the artist Alexey Luka created a wooden geometric installation based on the image of the old foundation. Another work was presented by the group “Artistic Solitude” (Alexey Kononenko, Ilya Voznesensky, Oleg Eliseev, Evgeny Kukoverov, Irina Korina and Olga Petrunenko). The artists painted “Portraits of Trees”, which are two six-meter canvases depicting firs, pines and driftwood, which turn Malevich Park into a snow-white exhibition hall. DCIM100MEDIADJI_0238.JPG
