Bright showroom in Hangzhou Architecture 07.06.2022 PIG Design Bureau designed an exhibition space inspired by the style of the Memphis design group. Evgeny Ionov EmailPinterestVKonkakte EmailPinterestVKonkakte The two-story showroom, paneled in stainless steel, looks like a rock. The thing is that the residents of Memphis call their city “rocky” — in Chinese, the word ya corresponds to this concept, which is mentioned in the name of the project: Ya Space! Feng Shao Feng Shao There is an exclamation mark on the front door, hinting at the “feeling of surprise” that can be experienced inside. Already in the lobby, a three-dimensional arch, a staircase of non-standard shape, a podium made up of blocks of different geometric shapes, as well as a bar counter formed by cylinders lined up in a row, catches the eye. And if the first floor is occupied by the lobby, the upper level is entirely reserved for the exhibition hall. Light boxes suspended from the ceiling complement the surreal atmosphere. The founder of the PIG Design bureau, Li Wenqiang, noted that the showroom is designed to “save a dull metropolis with the help of a bright and memorable design.” Feng Shao Feng Shao Feng Shao Feng Shao Photo: Feng Shao Original content from the site
